Muskurahat
August 2021- December 2021: Promoting Empowerment and Financial Freedom
Muskurahat, run in collaboration with the Nav Jagriti Foundation, empowered underprivileged women by combining livelihood opportunities with education for financial freedom. At its heart, the initiative emphasized that education is not limited to classrooms but also includes teaching practical skills, economic literacy, and self-reliance.
Participants were trained to create handmade products, which were later showcased and sold at Diwali melas and bake sales, generating over ₹80,000. This process gave women both an immediate source of income and a valuable lesson in entrepreneurship, creativity, and confidence in their abilities. To reinforce these skills, a financial literacy masterclass introduced the fundamentals of economics, budgeting, and small business management—knowledge that equipped them to sustain their livelihoods independently.
By forging partnerships with local NGOs and residential societies, Muskurahat ensured continuity, turning a short-term project into an ongoing network of opportunity. The initiative demonstrated how education—whether through skill-building, financial awareness, or experiential learning—can transform lives by creating pathways to empowerment, equality, and long-term resilience.
