Project Teach Enhance
June 2024 - September 2024: A six-week workshop equipped rural teachers with skills in confidence building, effective teaching, English development, and inclusive classroom practices.
In June 2024, Fight4Rights launched Project Teach Enhance, a six-week teacher-training programme aimed at strengthening classroom practices and improving student outcomes in rural schools. Recognising that the quality of education depends heavily on the skills and confidence of educators, the initiative was designed to empower teachers with both pedagogical tools and emotional support systems.
The programme brought together 120 rural teachers across 15 sessions, held in partnership with Takshashila Gurukulam, Ek Katha, and the Nav Jagriti Collective. Sessions were facilitated by two IB-certified educators with over a decade of experience each, blending theory with practical, hands-on activities. Teachers explored empathy as a tool for building trust, learned strategies for differentiated and inclusive instruction, and developed techniques to improve English language skills and classroom communication. Confidence-building exercises further reinforced their ability to manage challenges and engage learners effectively.
By equipping educators with sustainable, adaptable practices, Project Teach Enhance directly advanced United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) while also promoting Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through its focus on emotional resilience and supportive classroom climates. The initiative left teachers better prepared to create inclusive, student-centered environments—ensuring that children in underserved communities are not just taught, but truly able to learn, grow, and thrive.
